The seal can includes a flat portion and a peripheral wall that are contiguous to each other with a curved-surface portion provided therebetween. A first clearance g is defined between the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface of the power generation element and the border between the inner surface of the flat portion and the inner surface of the curved-surface portion , the first clearance having a radial dimension not larger than 2.0 mm at a position where its dimension is at its largest. This will facilitate positioning of the power generation element to properly place it inside the seal can , thereby preventing positional displacement of the power generation element",
