  "textContent": "The present invention relates to an electrode assembly and a secondary battery comprising same, wherein an insulator formed on a separator can prevent burrs, which may occur on a positive or negative electrode tab formed by blanking, from penetrating the separator, thereby improving electric stability, and a longitudinal end and a corner portion have increased insulation thicknesses such that, by enhancing cushion functions, same may be advantageous in terms of short-circuiting protection. As an example, the present invention provides an electrode assembly and a secondary battery comprising same, the electrode assembly comprising: a positive-electrode collector; a positive-electrode plate having a positive-electrode active material and a positive-electrode tab protruding from a longitudinal end thereof, the positive-electrode active material being formed to cover a part of the positive-electrode collector, and the positive-electrode tab being a positive-electrode uncoated portion having no positive-electrode active material formed thereon; a negative-electrode collector; a negative-electrode plate having a negative-electrode active material and a negative-electrode tab protruding from a longitudinal end thereof, the negative-electrode active material being formed to cover a part of the negative-electrode collector, and the negative-electrode tab being a negative-electrode uncoated portion having no negative-electrode active material formed thereon; and a negative-electrode plate. The separator has an insulator provided on a longitudinal end thereof so as to have a larger thickness than other areas thereof.",
