DATA CENTER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE DATA CENTER SYSTEM

The invention relates to a data center system (1), comprising at least the following components: a data center (30), and a power source module (10), wherein - the data center (30) is connected to at least two prime-rated electricity sources configured to provide electricity to the data center (30), wherein a prime-rated first electricity source is an electricity grid (2) and wherein a second prime-rated electricity source is the power source module (10), wherein - the power source module (10) comprises a gas-powered electricity generator (12, 12-1, 12-2) to generate electricity from gas, wherein the power source module (10) is connected to a gas network (3), wherein the power source module (10) is further connected to the data center (30), wherein, the system (1) is configured to provide electricity from the power source module (10) to the data center (30), such as to reduce a load on the electricity grid (2) and such that the data center (1) may be supplied by the at least two prime-rated electricity sources simultaneously, characterized in that the system (1) comprises a grid battery (14) configured to instantaneously supply electricity to the electricity grid (2).
