A transmission includes an input shaft to which drive power is transmitted from an engine, an odd-numbered gear intermediate shaft, an even-numbered gear intermediate shaft, an output shaft, an odd-numbered gear motor generator, an even-numbered gear motor generator, a first speed gear set, a second speed gear set, a third speed gear set, a fourth speed gear set, and a first doc-clutch. The first speed gear set and the third speed gear set each work to connect the odd-numbered gear intermediate shaft and the output shaft together to transmit drive power therebetween. The second speed gear set and the fourth speed gear set work to connect the even-numbered gear intermediate shaft and the output shaft together to transmit drive power therebetween. The first dog-clutch is switchable between an odd-numbered gear position and an even-numbered gear position. The odd-numbered gear position is to achieve connection between the input shaft and the odd-numbered gear intermediate shaft. The even-numbered gear position is to achieve connection between the input shaft and the even-numbered gear intermediate shaft. This structure ensures a smooth gear change in the transmission without use of a plurality of clutches and enables the transmission to be reduced in size and produced at a decreased cost.
