AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS

Aspects of the present invention relate to an audio processing system (1) for a vehicle (3). The audio processing system (1) is configured to process an audio signal (AS-n) representing sound waves originating from at least one vehicle (3) system disposed on the vehicle (3). The audio processing system (1) includes a controller (21) configured to receive the audio signal (AS-n) from a microphone (5). The controller (21) processes the audio signal (AS-n) to generate a frequency domain representation of the audio signal (AS-n). The controller (21) also receives a first operating signal (OS-n) indicating an operating state of a first said vehicle system (VS-n). The controller (21) decompose the frequency domain representation of the audio signal (AS-n) in dependence on the first operating signal (OS-n) to identify a first audio profile associated with the operation of the first vehicle system (VS-n). Aspects of the present invention also relate to a vehicle (2) including an audio processing system (1).
