The power battery is configured to supply electricity to the driving motor. The control method includes: acquiring a traveling parameter of the hybrid vehicle; controlling the engine, the driving motor and the electric generator according to the traveling parameter, to enable the engine to operate in an economic zone by charging and discharging control of the power battery; and comparing the equivalent fuel consumptions when the hybrid vehicle is in a series mode, a parallel mode, and an EV mode, to select an operation mode of minimum equivalent fuel consumption as a current operation mode of the hybrid vehicle.",
