The foot well panel (100) includes one or more weakening section (10, 20) configured along a plane of the foot well panel (100). The one or more weakening section (10, 20) facilitate initiation of bending of the footwell panel (100) upon an impact applied on the vehicle. One or more slot (10a, 20a) is/are configured intermediately between and or along the length of the weakening sections (10, 20), wherein the one or more weakening section (10, 20) and the one or more slot (10a, 20a) together enable the footwell panel to bend upon an impact applied on the vehicle thereby preventing the detachment of the foot well panel (100) from the interior trim part (200).",
