Embodiments of the present application provide a battery, a power consumption apparatus, a method and an apparatus for preparing a battery. The battery includes: a plurality of layers of battery cell groups stacked in a first direction, where each layer of the battery cell group includes a plurality of battery cells arranged in an array; and a plurality of thermal management components provided between adjacent two layers of the battery cell groups in the first direction, where the thermal management component is configured to contain a fluid to adjust temperature of the battery cells located on both sides of the thermal management component, the plurality of the thermal management components are connected to each other in a second direction to isolate the adjacent two layers of the battery cell groups, and the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. The battery, the power consumption apparatus, the method and the apparatus for preparing the battery of the present application can enhance safety performance of the battery.
