The electrolyte comprises a boron trifluoride salt represented by general formula I as follows, wherein R' represents an unsaturated heterocycle at least containing one heteroatom and at least containing one unsaturated bond; M is a metal cation; E1 and E2 are independently nonexistent, a group, a chain structure or a ring-containing structure; and R is a substituent. The boron trifluoride salt in the present application can be used as an additive and also as a salt in an electrolyte, and a polymerizable monomer can also be used as a single-ion conductor polymer electrolyte and a polymer skeleton after polymerization. The boron trifluoride salt provided in the present application can be applied to a liquid battery, a solid-liquid hybrid battery, a semi-solid-state battery, a gel battery, a quasi-solid-state battery and an all-solid-state battery, and helps to improve the energy density, cycle stability and service life of a battery.
