A spring brake actuator (1) for a vehicle, in particular a utility vehicle, comprises a housing (2), a diaphragm (3) arranged to form a pressure chamber (20) and a non-pressure chamber (21) in the housing (2), a pushrod plate (5) being arranged in the non-pressure chamber (21), and a pushrod (4) adapted to couple to an external member of a brake arrangement (100), wherein the diaphragm (3) comprises a projection (9), and the pushrod plate (5) comprises a hole (10) adapted to engage with the projection (9), wherein the projection (9) comprises non-circular projection cross-section (22) and the hole (10) comprises a non-circular hole cross-section (23).
