A ventilation component includes a ventilation path for allowing ventilation between an inner space and an outer space of a housing The ventilation path is a path for allowing ventilation between the internal space and the outer space when the ventilation component is attached to an edge The ventilation component includes a supporting portion a gas-permeable membrane a protruding portion and a sealing member The supporting portion surrounds the ventilation path The gas-permeable membrane is bonded to the supporting portion and closes the ventilation path in a ventilatable manner. The protruding portion is a part having a tubular shape, the part being arranged to protrude from the supporting portion and surround one end of the ventilation path the part being configured to be in contact with the edge when the ventilation component is attached to the edge The ventilation component satisfies requirements 2.5≤Gs/Gt≤5.0 and 1.0≤{(Gs−Gt)/2}/Lt≤3.0.
