[0002] The present invention further relates to a method (200) for producing a noise damping fibre mesh, wherein the method comprises the steps of: - forming (202) thermoplastic fibres by a molding tool or an extruding tool; - surface treating (204) of the fibres by the molding tool, the extruding tool, or another tool configured to treat the surface of thermoplastic fibres; and - knitting, braiding or weaving (206) a plurality of the surfaced treated fibres (100) to a noise damping fibre mesh.
