The present invention relates to: a phosphor containing a crystalline phase having a composition represented by a specific formula, wherein when the peak intensity appearing in the 2θ=38-39 degrees region in an X-ray powder diffraction spectrum is defined as Ix, and the peak intensity appearing in the 2θ=37-38 degrees region is defined as ly, Ix/ly which is the relative intensity of Ix relative to ly is 0.140 or lower; and a light emitting device comprising said phosphor.",
