An impact detection system comprising a bumper (6) of a vehicle, a foam piece (3) and a sensing tube (1) filled with a fluid and connected to a pressure sensor inside the sensing tube (1), where the sensing tube (1) and the foam piece (3) are fixed to a frame (8) of the bumper (6) and where the sensing tube (1) is embedded in the foam piece (3) or arranged between the foam piece (3) and the frame (8) of the bumper (6).
