The present application provides a stacking device and a method for manufacturing a stacked type electrode assembly, which relate to the technical field of batteries. The stacking device includes a negative delivery mechanism, a separator delivery mechanism, a first heating mechanism and a positive delivery mechanism. The negative delivery mechanism is configured to deliver a negative electrode sheet. The separator delivery mechanism is configured to deliver separators to two sides of the negative electrode sheet such that the separators are attached to the negative electrode sheet. The first heating mechanism is arranged downstream of the separator delivery mechanism and configured to heat the negative electrode sheet and the separators. The positive delivery mechanism is arranged downstream of the first heating mechanism and configured to deliver positive electrode sheets to the two sides of the negative electrode sheet such that the positive electrode sheets are attached to the separators. In the stacking device, no PET film is required to participate in the delivery, the entire structure of the stacking device is simplified, a path through which heat passes is also shortened, a stronger ability to soften glue on the separators is provided, and the connection quality is improved.
