RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR A TRUCK TIRE

A rubber composition for a truck tire (1) is disclosed. The rubber composition comprises 70 phr to 95 phr of polyisoprene; 5 phr to 30 phr of a solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature of less than -40°C which is functionalized for the coupling to silica; and 40 phr to 80 phr of a filler comprising predominantly silica. Also, a truck tire (1) is disclosed having a tread (10) and having said rubber composition in a radially outermost portion of its tread (10).
