A window assembly (3) for a vehicle, comprising: a first drive (8), comprising a first stator (31) and a first rotor (30) arranged around the first stator (31); a mobile window (6), having a transversal edge (20) and a first longitudinal edge (18) and sliding between an open position where the transversal edge (20) is positioned at a first longitudinal end (34) of the first drive (8) and the first longitudinal edge (18) is positioned along the first drive (8), and a closed position where the transversal edge (20) is positioned at a second longitudinal end (35) of the first drive (8) and where the first longitudinal edge (18) is positioned passed the first drive (8); and a first transmission mechanism (10), the mobile window (6) being driven by the rotation of the first rotor (30), via the first transmission mechanism (10).
