  "textContent": "The invention relates to the electrochemical production of hydrogen and lithium hydroxide from Li+-containing water with the aid of a LiSICon membrane. It is based on the task of specifying a process which can also be operated economically on an industrial scale. In particular, the process should have high energy efficiency and achieve a long service life of the membrane even when the feed used contains impurities which are harmful to LiSICon materials. A particular aspect of the process is that in the cell the lithium is simultaneously separated selectively through the membrane and an electrolysis of water takes place. An essential aspect of the process consists in that the electrochemical process is carried out in a basic medium, more specifically at a pH of 9 to 13. The pH value is adjusted by adding a basic compound to the feed.",
