The subject of the invention is an aircraft comprising at least one electric motor (26) configured to drive in rotation a wheel (24) of a landing gear as well as at least one energy receiving element (28) configured to power the electric motor (26) and cooperate with an energy transmitting element (32) present on the ground (S), the energy receiving and transmitting elements (28, 32) forming an electrical energy transfer device allowing, when the aircraft moves on the ground (S), an electrical energy transfer from the energy transmitting element (32) towards the energy receiver transmitter (28). [0002] This solution makes it possible to reduce the onboard mass and fuel consumption of the aircraft because the latter no longer consumes fuel to move on the ground.
