The electronic device includes a first attachment component and a magnetic field detection device. The magnetic field detection device is configured to obtain a magnetic field intensity of a position of the magnetic field detection device. The to-be-attached accessory includes a second attachment component, a first magnet, and a second magnet. The second attachment component is configured to be attached to the first attachment component, so that the to-be-attached accessory is fixed to the electronic device through attachment in a first orientation or a second orientation. The first magnet is configured to trigger the magnetic field detection device to output first indication information when the to-be-attached accessory is fixed to the electronic device through attachment in the first orientation, and the first indication information is used to indicate that the to-be-attached accessory is fixed in position through attachment. The second magnet is configured to trigger the magnetic field detection device to output the first indication information when the to-be-attached accessory is fixed through attachment in the second orientation. Through the present invention, the consumable cost of the existing attachment detection solution can be effectively reduced.",
