The method for controlling vehicle drive includes: after fault information of an electric drive system is detected, according to safety-state information and fault-behavior information of the electric drive system, determining an electric-drive-system fault level corresponding to the fault information; after fault information of a disengaging controller is detected, according to an acquired current gear position of the disengaging controller, determining a disengaging-system fault level corresponding to the fault information; and according to the disengaging-system fault level and the electric-drive-system fault level, executing a corresponding fault processing action. When any front wheel drive system or rear wheel drive system has a fault, the faulty drive system may be disengaged according to a determination result of the fault information, to sufficiently utilize the capacity of driving of the fault-free drive system, not reduce the driving speed, and travel normally, thereby improving the vehicle driving behavior of four-wheel-drive-system vehicles, and thus improving the driving experience.",
