SURVEY SYSTEM

Provided is a new survey system capable of quickly locking on a target by a simple operation. The survey system includes a surveying instrument 10 including an imaging unit 40 configured to acquire an image in front of a telescope, a controller 80 including a GNSS device 85 and configured to remotely operate the surveying instrument 10, and a target unit 70 including a target 72 and an optical transmitter 73, and based on position information acquired by the GNSS device 85 in the vicinity of the target unit 70, the surveying instrument 10 is rotated toward the GNSS device 85, images when the optical transmitter 73 turns on light and turns off light are acquired by the imaging unit 40, and based on a difference image between the images, the surveying instrument 40 is rotated toward the optical transmitter 73, scans the periphery by the tracking unit 24, and is locked on to the target 72.
