A battery cell according to the present invention can include an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separating membrane disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a cell case for receiving the electrode assembly, and an electrode lead connected to the electrode assembly and protruding from one end of the cell case. The cell case can include a receiving portion to receiving the electrode assembly and a sealing portion formed on an edge of the cell case to sealing the electrode assembly, and a reinforcing member positioned on an external side of the cell case to overlap at least a portion of the sealing portion.
