DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE HEIGHT OF AN AIR SPRING
DRIVE
December 10, 2025
The invention relates to a device for determining a height of an air spring. The device is designed to: - measure the pressure within a pressure accumulator/reservoir with the first pressure sensor, - measure a bellows pressure at a first point in time with a second pressure sensor, - determine a pressure differential between the pressure accumulator/reservoir and the bellows pressure, - open a valve for an opening duration between the first point in time and a second point in time, - measure the bellows pressure at the second point in time with the second pressure sensor, - calculate a bellows pressure differential, - select via the pressure differential between the pressure accumulator/reservoir and the bellows pressure at least one characteristic curve field/characteristic field of the air spring stored on the electronic computing device, - select via the opening duration from at least one characteristic curve of the characteristic curve field/characteristic field, and - determine the height of the air spring based on the characteristic curve via the bellows pressure differential.
