A processor of a battery device performs precharge by closing a precharge switch during a precharge duration, and closes a positive main switch after the precharge duration, and diagnoses the precharge operation on the basis of the voltage of a positive connection terminal measured immediately before the positive main switch was closed and the voltage of the positive connection terminal measured immediately after the positive main switch was closed.
