CRYOSTORAGE SYSTEM

A cryogenic storage system comprising a cryogenic container for storing hydrogen, with an inner tank (1) and an outer container (2), wherein at least one cryopump (21) is arranged in the inner tank (1) of the cryogenic container, wherein the cryopump (21) is completely surrounded by cryogenic fluid during normal operation and/or wherein the drive of the cryopump (21) is configured to operate at cryogenic temperatures, wherein the cryopump (21) conveys liquid and/or gaseous hydrogen in one or multiple stages to a consumer (5), at a higher pressure than the pressure in the inner tank (1).
