METHOD AND EMERGENCY STOP DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT A SECURED EMERGENCY STOP MANOEUVRE OF A MOVING VEHICLE

Method for performing a secured emergency stop maneuver of a moving vehicle comprising the steps: - Acquiring driver state data relating to driving fitness of a driver of the vehicle by means of at least one driver monitoring device; - Initializing an emergency stop assistance system on the basis of the acquired driver state data, wherein the emergency stop assistance system determines a stopping position for the emergency stop of the vehicle and at least one planned emergency stop maneuver; - Acquiring environment data with at least one environment detection device, wherein the environment data are characteristic of an environment of the vehicle; - Evaluating the environment data and generating a system release variable for releasing the planned emergency stop maneuver; - Depending on the generated system release variable, triggering a request for release of the planned emergency stop maneuver by another passenger of the vehicle, in particular by a front passenger, and acquiring a special release variable depending on an input from the other passenger, in particular from the front passenger; - Performing an adapted emergency stop maneuver on the basis of the system release variable, the special release variable, and the planned emergency stop maneuver.
