SAFE START CONTROL DEVICE FOR CHAINLESS ELECTRIC BICYCLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed is a safe start control device for a chainless electric bicycle including: a wheel sensor configured to detect a speed of a drive wheel; a drive controller configured to determine that the drive wheel is in a stopped state if the detected speed of the drive wheel satisfies a preset reference value, to initialize a stop timer, and to switch to a driving standby mode state when a preset stop timer time elapses; and a driving mode changeover input unit configured to receive a driving standby mode release signal from a rider in the driving standby mode state, in which the drive controller is configured to switch to a drivable mode state when the driving standby mode release signal is input to the driving mode changeover input unit.
