A system on a vehicle includes processing circuitry configured to cause the system to determine whether a first coordinate point is a vestigial coordinate point, the first coordinate point being among a plurality of coordinate points, each coordinate point among the plurality of coordinate points representing a corresponding geographical position of the vehicle, generate a plurality of non-vestigial coordinate points based on the plurality of coordinate points in response to determining the first coordinate point is the vestigial coordinate point, the first coordinate point not being included among the plurality of non-vestigial coordinate points, and generate a first navigational path based on the plurality of non-vestigial coordinate points.
