The present disclosure provides an apparatus for controlling the charging of an electric bicycle, including an alternator (110) for generating AC voltage by driving a pedal (23), an inverter (120) for converting the AC voltage into DC voltage, a plurality of batteries (130) for charging the DC voltage, a motor (140) which is supplied with electric power from at least one of the plurality of batteries (130) to provide a rotational force to wheels (20, 30), and a controller (150) for selectively charging the plurality of batteries (130) according to the charging efficiency of the plurality of batteries (130).
