PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG DEVICE

A passenger seat airbag device has an airbag, an inflator, and a control mechanism. The airbag includes a main bag portion, a subsidiary bag portion which communicates with the main bag portion and is inflated to protrude rearward from a side of an occupant-side wall portion of main bag portion, and a coupling member which has a base end portion coupled to an inner peripheral surface of the subsidiary bag portion and a distal end portion coupled to the control mechanism. The subsidiary bag portion is in a state of being drawn into the main bag portion through the communication portion when the main bag portion is inflated in a state where coupling between the coupling member and the control mechanism is maintained. The subsidiary bag portion is inflated to protrude rearward when the main bag portion is inflated in a state where the coupling is released.
