A terminal apparatus (10) includes a memory (12) that stores first identification information for identifying a user, a communication unit (13) that performs communication with a smart key (20) including an NFC tag that stores second identification information for identifying the user, the smart key corresponding to a vehicle of the user and being held by the user, and a control unit (11) configured to read the second identification information from the NFC tag via the communication unit (13), determine whether the first identification information matches the second identification information, and when the first identification information matches the second identification information, authenticate the user.
