Controller (300) and method (400) for controlling one or more components of a power system (100). The power system (100) comprises an AC power node (110) connected to an AC system (104). The controller (300) is configured to determine a first phase angle (Φ) between a first voltage (V1) of the AC power node (110) and a current (Is) of the AC power node (110); determine, based on the first angle (Φ), a second angle (δ) between the first voltage (V1) of the AC power node (110) and a second voltage (V2) of the AC system (104); and output data indicative of at least the second angle (δ) for controlling the one or more components of the power system (100).
