A locking system to secure a trans cowl to a frame of a thrust reverser on an engine of an aircraft. The locking system includes an arm that is connected to the trans cowl with the arm having a receptacle. A lock includes a body and a pin with the pin movable relative to the body and with the lock positionable between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the pin is in an extended position relative to the body that extends into the receptacle to secure the trans cowl in a stowed position. In the unlocked position, the pin is in a retracted position relative to the body that is away from the arm to enable the trans cowl to move to a deployed position. (Fig. 1)
