An information processing apparatus is configured to execute: acquiring a current position as measured by a positioning module; acquiring a measurement precision of the current position; determining whether the current position is inside or outside an object geofence; weighting a determination result of the object geofence with the measurement precision; accumulating weighted determination results by repeatedly acquiring the current position, acquiring the measurement precision, determining the object geofence, and weighting the determination result with the measurement precision; when a sum of weights of determination results of either inside or outside in the accumulated determination results exceeds a threshold, ascertaining a determination result of the object geofence with whichever determination result having exceeded the threshold; and outputting information related to the ascertained determination result.
