The battery management apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a charging unit electrically connected to a battery and configured to charge the battery; and a control unit configured to set a target capacity based on a battery capacity for the battery and a preset reference capacity, compare a charging capacity after a charge termination voltage of the battery with the target capacity, and transmit a charging command to the charging unit based on the comparison result.
