APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANAGING BATTERY

A battery management apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a measuring unit configured to measure voltage and current of a battery including a plurality of negative electrode active materials; a discharging unit having one end connected to a positive electrode terminal of the battery and the other end connected to a negative electrode terminal of the battery, and configured to discharge the battery; and a control unit configured to control the discharging unit to discharge the battery when the voltage of the battery corresponds to a preset reference voltage, and calculate a capacity of a target negative electrode active material among the plurality of negative electrode active materials of the battery based on a current measured in a discharge process.
