The present disclosure is directed to providing an anode-free all-solid-state battery having improved discharge capacity and cycle characteristics. The present disclosure is also directed to providing an anode-free all-solid-state battery which can be driven under a low confining pressure. The present disclosure provides an all-solid-state battery which includes a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode current collector, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode current collector, the all-solid-state battery including no negative electrode active material, wherein lithium ions are supplied from the positive electrode active material layer through charging, so that a lithium metal layer as a negative electrode active material is formed on the negative electrode current collector, and the solid electrolyte layer includes a sulfide-based solid electrolyte containing a Group 2 element and having an argyrodite-type crystal structure.
