"textContent": "Disclosed in the present application are a wrapping apparatus and wrapping method for an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises an electrode main body and a tab portion, wherein the electrode main body has a first direction, a second direction and a third direction, and comprises two main surfaces, two end surfaces and two side surfaces, and the tab portion protrudes from the first one of the two end surfaces. The wrapping apparatus comprises a first wrapping assembly and a first positioning assembly. The first wrapping assembly is configured to position a wrapping film. The wrapping film comprises two main wrapping areas and a connecting area, with an opening being provided in the connecting area. The first positioning assembly is configured to position the electrode assembly and arrange the tab portion to face the connecting area. The first positioning assembly and the first wrapping assembly are configured to move relative to each other, such that the tab portion passes through the opening along with the relative movement of the first positioning assembly and the first wrapping assembly, and the connecting area wraps around the first one of the two end surfaces. In this way, the interference of the tab portion on the wrapping process can be reduced, and the wrapping effect is improved.",
