According to an embodiment disclosed in this document, a battery swapping device may comprise: an insertion unit including a plurality of charging ports where batteries can be inserted or removed; a charging unit including at least one charger configured to charge a battery inserted in the insertion unit; and a control unit configured to acquire authentication information related to the inserted battery, and control connection between the charging unit and the insertion unit based on an authentication result of the battery and a state of the battery swapping device.
