A battery management apparatus according to an embodiment disclosed herein includes an information obtaining unit configured to obtain an open circuit voltage (OCV) of a first battery corresponding to a first time from an external device, a reference OCV calculating unit configured to calculate a reference OCV of a battery corresponding to a time, and a controller configured to compare a reference OCV calculated to correspond to the first time with an OCV of the first battery corresponding to the first time to determine whether the first battery has a low voltage.
