An aerosol generating device according to an embodiment includes a body that includes an article accommodating unit for accommodating an aerosol generating article and forms an exterior thereof; a heater for heating the aerosol generating article accommodated in the article accommodating unit; a battery coupling unit arranged in one area inside the body; and a battery detachably coupled to the battery coupling unit, wherein the battery includes a first electrode and a second electrode having an opposite polarity to that of the first electrode, and the first electrode and the second electrode are disposed on a same first surface of the battery.
