The present disclosure relates to the technical field of lithium batteries and provides a wound-type lithium-ion battery. In the wound-type lithium-ion battery, a plurality of recessed portions are provided on one side of the negative electrode current collector in the single-sided area of the negative electrode plate at the center of the jelly roll, where the negative electrode active layer is not provided. Additionally, the projections of the leading end of the first negative electrode active layer and the leading end of the second negative electrode active layer in different bending regions overlap in the thickness direction of the jelly roll. The combined effect of the recessed portions and the overlapping projections of the negative electrode active layers can significantly increase the liquid retention at the center of the jelly roll, improve the wettability of the electrolyte solution to the electrode plates, thereby enhancing the cycling performance of the battery and reducing lithium deposition.
