Jelly-Roll Type Electrode Assembly and Secondary Battery Including the Same

A jelly-roll type electrode assembly includes a first electrode, a first separator, a second electrode, and a second separator sequentially stacked and wound. A first layer includes an outermost layer of the first electrode and the first separator, and a second layer includes the second electrode, the second separator, and a layer in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the outermost layer. The first and second layers each include respective first end portions where winding begins and respective second end portions where winding ends. The second layer is bent to wrap around one edge portion of the first layer parallel to the longitudinal direction so as to expose the second end portion of the second layer on an outer circumferential surface of the first layer.
