An electrochemical device includes: a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a separator, and a shape-memory alloy component. The positive electrode plate includes a positive current collector and a positive active material layer. The negative electrode plate includes a negative current collector and a negative active material layer. The separator is disposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The shape-memory alloy component is disposed on one side of the positive current collector and/or the negative current collector, the side being oriented toward the separator. The shape-memory alloy component is spaced apart from the positive current collector. The shape-memory alloy component includes a phase change portion and a support portion. The phase change portion includes a first end and a second end disposed opposite to each other. The first end is connected to the support portion.
