A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a cell case having a can accommodating an electrode assembly therein and a cap plate connected to the can, and a vent notch formed in at least one of both surfaces of the cap plate, wherein the vent notch includes at least one first notch portion formed based on a first path, at least one second notch portion formed based on a second path, and a connection notch portion connecting the first notch portion and the second notch portion.
