An electrode assembly according to the embodiment includes a first electrode that includes including a first current collector, a first active material layer on the first current collector, and an insulating member. The electrode assembly also includes a second electrode that includes a second current collector and a second active material layer on the second current collector. A separator is positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first current collector comprises an uncoated portion where the first active material layer is not provided, and the first uncoated portion comprises a first region. A second region is between the first region and the first active material layer, with the insulating member being disposed in the second region, and with the second region including at least one open region.
