A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a separator, and a negative electrode. A case body accommodates the electrode assembly and has an opening. A cover is coupled to the case body. A terminal is connected to the case body extending through a surface of the case body. An electrode tab connects the electrode assembly to the terminal. The electrode tab is bent to include a first connecting portion connected to the electrode assembly, and a second connecting portion extending from the bend and connected to the terminal.
