A vacuum toilet system (22) installed in a vehicle comprises: - a wastewater tank (24), - a first line (28) comprising a first toilet bowl (34) connected to the wastewater tank (24) by a first conduit (36) fitted with a first isolation valve (38), - a second line (30) comprising a second toilet bowl (40) connected to the wastewater tank (24) by a second conduit (42) fitted with a second isolation valve (44), and - a control device (32) configured to detect an air leak affecting the first line (28) and command the closure of the first isolation valve (38), and to detect an air leak affecting the second line (30) and command the closure of the second isolation valve (44).
