The present invention provides a computer-implemented method for controlling a distribution of charged batteries in a system comprising locally distributed stations for providing exchange batteries and entities each comprising one or more battery slots. The method comprises monitoring an amount of charged batteries of each of the stations and monitoring a demanded amount of charged batteries of each of the stations. The method comprises computing a redistribution of the charged batteries in the system using the monitored amount of charged batteries of each of the stations and the monitored demanded amount of charged batteries of each of the stations. The method comprises providing a command to a communication entity associated with an entity of the entities to perform at least a part of the computed redistribution of the charged batteries in the system.
